NATIONAL GUJARATI COMPETITION at the "United Gujarati" Convention 2026 (Orlando, Florida)
The FOGA National Gujarati Competition is designed to celebrate and promote the Gujarati language, culture, and heritage. Its purpose is to strengthen awareness of Gujarati history, values, traditions, customs, and cuisine among our youth. As part of the United Gujarati Convention 2026 in Orlando, Florida, FOGA will proudly host the first-ever National Gujarati Competition. Participants from across the United States will come together to showcase their talents in the following categories: Essay - નિબંધ, Public Speaking - વક્તૃત્વ, and Poetry Recitation - કવિતા વાંચન.

The competition is modeled after the one held by the Gujarati Mandal of Central Ohio (GMOCO.org). We look forward to seeing the Gujarati talent this competition will uncover. We invite everyone to explore their expressions of culture and encourage your children and youth to participate.
Registration is required for all categories and age groups. Online submissions will be made before the 2026 Convention. Award distribution will be held at the convention. Convention attendance is recommended but not required to participate.

High School and College students of Gujarati origin across the USA! Join us in celebrating our shared heritage by creating a Welcome Video for the United Gujarati Convention 2026 in Orlando. Your video should warmly invite Gujaratis from all corners of North America to this grand cultural gathering — delivered in traditional Gujarati style and infused with originality, vibrant visuals, and heartfelt messaging. Don’t forget to mention the name of your local Gujarati Samaj! We will post your video on our FOGAUSA YouTube channel and you can invite your family, friends and audience to vote for you.

YOUTH HEALTH & WELLNESS SESSION at the "United Gujarati" Convention 2026 (Orlando, Florida)
Student Wellness Workshop has been organized for kids from age 10 years and upwards at the convention venue (Renaissance at Seaworld, Orlando, May 23 and 24) by Mrs. Megha Patel. She is our Youth Committee member, and a certified yoga instructor, specializing in teachings for adults, teenagers, and children. In her work within educational settings, she introduces students to stress management and anxiety reduction techniques. Additionally, she offers a "Happiness Club" for teachers to promote well-being and mindfulness. Registration will open in January 2026.

YOUTH CHESS COMPETITON at the "United Gujarati" Convention 2026 (Orlando, Florida)
A chess competition has been organized for kids, youth and adults of all ages at the convention venue (Renaissance at Seaworld, Orlando, May 23 and 24). Participate, have fun and win trophies. Chess is our Bhartiya game, with roots in ancient India. This competition will be conducted by our co-hosts from Lakeland, FL (Board members of Polk Scholastic Chess - Rupal Shah, Sunil Patel, Mitul Shah, Dr. Darshan Shah, Dr. Liji George and Malay Shah). Polk Scholastic Chess is the country's largest scholastic and inter-school competition platform with over 650 participating kids each year from over 85 schools, and a prestigious 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that has operated since over 35 years. BHARAT VAN PRAVAS - December 2026
India is renowned for its rich biodiversity, diverse ecosystems, and unique wildlife species. Whether it’s the magnificent Lions at Gir in Western India or majestic tigers roaming the dense jungles in Central India, or the rhinos and elephants in Assam in Eastern India, to the vibrant birdlife at Bharatpur in the North, there's something awe-inspiring waiting to be discovered at every turn. This will be a thrilling, awe inspiring, humbling and educative journey for high-school and college students interested in exploring the wonders of India's wildlife.
